Royal Wedding Madness

So who is waking up at 3:30 am to watch the royal wedding this weekend? Umm pick me! I'm sorry but there are just some things you cannot wait to see highlights of on the evening news or E! News.

It's all about the dress

As the Royal wedding of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry approaches I can't help but think... What will the next wedding dress trend be? When princess kate married Prince William the trends that swept the wedding world were

1) lace sleeves

2) small bouquets

3) second dresses (while this was a trend way before her, she really established it and it continues today more than ever).

What are your guesses on the features that will carry over from Meghan's look?

Here's a few of my guesses.

*Sheer sleeves are very popular right now and so is sparkle tulle and organza I bet that her dress will feature one of these items.

*If you will notice Meghan's red carpet looks and engagement looks are very sleek and have a lot of structure to them with a soft flowy bottom. The tops are almost always high neck or straight. Some of the designers that have been thought to may be designing her dress all also have quite a lot of minimalist structure (Alexander McQueen, Roland Mouret, Inbal Dror, except Jenny Packham). You will also notice by Meghan's fashion choices that she likes a lot of texture in a fabric. I think if she chooses to use this element in her dress she will have some sort of large fabric/ organza/ tulle flower detail on her train or veil.

Here are some of my own sketches of possibilities of what her dress may look like or be similar to. It will be interesting to see if Im in the ball park.

This Kiss

If you remember, the kiss on the balcony is EVERYTHING! How many seconds do you think the new princess will lip lock and will it be as dreamy or more than his older brother's wedding. You know Harry was considered a playboy before he met Miss Meghan.

What's on the menu? More importantly how will they serve it?

following the wedding is an extravagant luncheon. William and Kate's served the likes of the following:

While most of this I cannot imagine cooking in my own kitchen, can you imagine what all of these things looked like and how beautifully they are presented? Reminds me of the beautiful collection of china I have for rentals on the Adore Productions web site...... hmmmmm or the certified designing services I offer....hmmmmmm

Anyways, it will be interesting to see if American cuisine is incorporated in this wedding since the bride is American and a "commoner".

Do you think some sort of slider, meatball, tomato soup shooter, or late night pizza buffet will make an appearance?

A joyous event.

Any wedding is of course a celebration however this one is even more special than the wedding of Kate and William. Why you may ask. SO many reasons. It gives hope everywhere that it doesn't matter who you are or where you are from you can be a true princess. You can also win with kindness and being a genuine person.

I think that is what shines through the most to me about Meghan Markle.

Cheers to the happy couple and I hope to create an amazing blog of fantastic dish about the royal wedding. Maybe that one will even be a video.
